Overflade

This fitting is anodized. Anodizing creates a protective oxide layer on the aluminum surface, providing good corrosion protection and a durable finish. Anodized products can withstand daily use and are resistant to scratches and wear.

Hard anodizing (Type III) provides a thicker and harder layer than standard anodizing and is typically used on products exposed to extra heavy wear.

Montering

Mounting is simple. The QR base is attached to the picatinny rail and the scope is placed in the lower ring halves, after which the upper halves are tightened.

Manufacturer's recommendation:
• Tightening torque for ring screws (top, M3.5): 1.8–2.0 Nm
• Tightening torque for mounting to rail (M4): 2.0–2.5 Nm
• Ensure that the scope is straight and has correct eye relief before final tightening

A torque wrench is necessary for correct mounting. Overtightening can damage the scope's tube.

Materiale

This mount is made from 7075-T6 aluminum – the same alloy used in military equipment, aircraft structures, and high-end climbing gear. 7075-T6 has a strength-to-weight ratio almost twice that of steel and is the preferred material for many professional shooters.

For the vast majority of hunters and shooters, 7075-T6 aluminum is at least as good as steel. The material is lighter, does not corrode, and will withstand decades of use under normal conditions.

Brand

Nieload is a manufacturer of picatinny rails and scope mounts, with a focus on precision and quality. They offer rails in both QPQ-treated steel and hard-anodized aluminum, as well as mounting rings in various diameters and heights. Nieload is particularly known for their wide coverage of Scandinavian rifle platforms.

Højde

The mounting height of rings is typically given as BH (Base Height) - measured from the top of the picatinny rail to the bottom of the scope tube (the saddle).

This mount has a fixed mounting height of 4.5 mm (BH).

Rule of thumb: Choose the lowest ring height that still allows free passage between the scope's objective and the barrel. A lower mount provides better balance and a more natural sight picture.

Ringdiameter

These rings have an internal diameter of 34 mm and are suitable for scopes with a 34 mm tube. 34 mm is typically used on high-end scopes with a large adjustment range.

Always check your scope's tube diameter before purchasing – it can be found in the scope's specifications or easily measured with calipers.
